1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Because Price Recon runs locally on your smartphone, we do not collect, harvest, or store your personal data on remote servers. Here is exactly how data is handled within the app:

• Tracked URLs and Price History: When you add or share a product link into the app, this data is saved strictly inside a secure, local SQLite database on your device. We do not have access to the URLs you monitor or your historical price charts.
• App Configurations: Your custom preferences, thresholds, and application settings are stored locally on your device storage.
• Network Requests & Cookies: To fetch the latest prices, the app directly connects to the public target URLs you provide. Any technical cookies required to properly render and read the public HTML structure of those target websites are managed entirely on your device inside an isolated, local cookie container.

2. Background Processing and Notifications

To provide real-time price monitoring without compromising your privacy via external push servers, Price Recon performs all operations natively:

• Local Background Workers: The app utilizes an on-device background task manager to schedule periodic, low-impact HTTP requests to your targeted websites.
• Local Notifications: Price alert notifications are generated entirely by your phone's native operating system when the local background worker detects a discrepancy in price. No remote servers are utilized to route, track, or trigger your notifications.

3. Third-Party Services and Analytics

We do not integrate third-party advertising networks, user behavior tracking suites, or remote analytics SDKs.

When the app updates a price, it makes a direct connection to the external website hosting the product. Those third-party websites may collect standard web server logs or utilize cookies as they would during any normal browser visit. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the websites you choose to monitor.

4. Data Sharing and Retention

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties because we do not collect it in the first place. Your data remains on your device for as long as the application is installed. You can permanently erase all stored application data, configurations, and price history at any time by clearing the app cache or uninstalling the application from your device.
